The unquestioned leading event for Danish sector professionals and wine lovers
On Wednesday April 22nd 2026 the Barolo & Friends Event will be held in Copenhagen for the 17th time. The event will take place in the prestigious Opera House Foyer on Holmen, and nearly 40 wine producers from Piemonte are expected to participate.
Piemonte is one of the most important Italian wine regions, among the most acclaimed in the world: a fertile area where high quality wines are produced under the best conditions. The winemakers will personally present their fine bottles of Barolo, Barbaresco, Nebbiolo, Barbera and other great Piedmontese wines to Danish consumers during a “walk around tasting”, where more than 250 different labels will be available!
In 2026, Barolo & Friends reinforces its institutional collaborations, featuring the Associazione Produttori del Nizza as an official partner for the second consecutive year. A dedicated collective tasting table will showcase the Nizza DOCG, the ultimate expression of the Barbera grape characterized by great structure, complexity, and exceptional longevity.
As usual, the event will be divided into three different sessions, in the shape of “walk around tastings”. The first session will be reserved to professionals, and the other two will be open to consumers with prepaid tickets.
- From 11.30 to 15.00 (for professionals) Trade registrations: forms.gle/o4FTBQwoLSX3tc4y5

- From 18.30 to 20.30 (for private consumers). Ticket price: DKK 399
At the entrance you will receive your tasting glass and you will spend 2 hours discovering Barolo and its “friends”, the wines from other areas of Piemonte. Come and taste the exclusive wines and find your favorites!
Don’t miss the chance to win a Magnum. The prize will be drawn randomly among the participants during both consumers sessions!
Masterclasses and professional insight for the trade
Wine professionals can also look forward to two exclusive masterclasses, designed for those seeking a deeper understanding of Piedmont’s wine universe:
- By the Glass: 10 Top Picks from Piedmont for Your Wine List – led by Jonathan Gouveia Master Sommelier
A presentation of 10 characterful, versatile wines with strong value for money – all unique to the region.
- Nizza DOCG – led by Thomas Ilkjær
An in-depth introduction to Monferrato’s flagship appellation and the very best Barbera has to offer.
Popular blind tasting competition returns
Following great success in 2025, the Piedmont Blind Tasting Competition returns. Sommeliers and wine professionals can test their knowledge individually or in teams, competing for prizes such as an exclusive wine trip to Piedmont and prestigious Magnum bottles.
